Directly across the road, you’ll find a fantastic park that hosts events like The Basin Music Festival, making our location perfect for families and visitors of all ages.

Our Name

The name “1 in 20” pays homage to the gradient of Mountain Highway leading up to Sassafras, a route well-known among cyclists. Interestingly, in 1937, this stretch from Bayswater to Sassafras was officially named “One In Twenty Road” for a brief period.

Our dedicated team comprises local residents, many of whom live within walking distance of the cafe. This close-knit community connection fosters a friendly and welcoming environment where we strive to provide exceptional food, drinks, and atmosphere to match.
